The Llenrock Blog Review

The Llenrock Blog is entertaining beyond belief.  Normally when thinking about real estate writing, it’s a safe assumption that the content will be dry – this blog is anything but that.  The Llenrock Blog’s content is fresh, funny and relevant – as well as informative. 

Updated daily, the blog has a nice flow of regular “columns” that are featured each week.  For example, each week, the Llenrock blog features a “Top 10” list pertaining to real estate. These lists are concise as well as an easy read – this is a great way for readers to quickly receive information pertaining to real estate while sipping on their morning coffee before work.

The videos range in topic from bringing in CEO’s to discuss various subjects to discussing the restaurant sector and how it plays an important part in real estate.  The “Commercial Real Estate Week in Review” is just that – all the newest and hottest real estate headlines of the week are all compiled in one blog post with a brief description attached to each. 

An extremely unique feature of the Llenrock Blog is the ""Mensch and Schlemiel of the Week" . Blogger Eric Hawthorn provides the definitions for both of these obscure words at the beginning of each of these weekly posts:

Mensch: Noun, informal.  A decent, upright, mature and responsible person.

Schlemiel: Noun, slang.  An awkward, clumsy, or unlucky person whose endeavors tend to fail; a loser.

Hawthorn then defines who he believes to be the “Mensch” and the “Schlemiel” of the week pertaining to real estate – in other words, who did something great and who messed up in the past week of real estate.  This is one of the blog’s funnier sections – highly recommended for those looking for some humor sprinkled onto their real estate news.  Overall, this blog receives 5/5 stars from Lender411 for being informative and relevant but doing so in a fresh and engaging manner.  It’s not every day that a real estate blog makes you laugh out loud while still feeling like you’re learning something.  If you haven’t done so yet, the Llenrock Blog needs to be a definite “bookmark” on your web browser.
