Anytime your mortgage payment is not paid within the month due, that late payment will be reported to the credit bureau. A current 30-day late on your credit report will have a significant impact on your score.
As previously mentioned, anything over 30 days is considered a late payment from a credit profile perspective. This is not the kiss of death necessarily, but you should be very careful not to get another 30 day late (known as 2 times 30) or keep paying 30 days behind (known as a rolling late payment). Making up the payment and then making the next payment on time will ensure that the 35 day late will have a minimal effect on your credit.
As everyone has stated mortgage payments pass 30 days will affect your credit.
MOst likely and if you have a Good credit it can affect it tremendously. i've seen over 100 pt hit to credit with a mortgage late.
Any payment more than 30 days late will affect your credit score and can prevent you from qualifying for certain refinance programs.
30 days.... i would call the servicer and see if there is any miracle that would causer them not to report or admit some type of fault or error that caused your late.
Yes, anything over 30-31 days is a mortgage late. The effect will depend on your overall credit profile.
Yes anything over 30-31 days is considered as a late. One late payment will drop your score. However, as to how much depends on your overall payment history and . Why are your blend of credit accounts. Why are you asking are you looking to refinance or purchase another home?
As everyone here mentioned anything over 30 days is considered late payment that will affect your credit score. Read John Moran's response i couldn't have said it better myself.
If the mortgage payment is 30 days or more past due, it will affect your credit.. I recently read an article where a credit repair guy had argued that the 15 day grace period is an extension of the actual due date, and therefor to be 30 days late, you would have to be 30 days beyond the 15th of the month.. but in any case, you could contact your mortgage company and ask for a "good faith" deletion of the late payment.. If you have been a very good customer and have a good story, it's possible they would remove the late payment from your credit.. if not, then having one 30 day late payment is acceptable for a majority of the lenders offering mortgages, however you will need to explain why it happened and explain that it's unlikely to ever happen again.
