Applied for an FHA but had to quit my job

I applied for an FHA, but I had to quit my job due to sickness. My elderly mom volunteered to be on the loan, but she has no credit due to a lack of credit cards and much debt. We added her to my husband’s card, but not sure how things will turn out, and I fear will lose the house. Any thoughts? by jerome881 from Maricopa, Arizona. Apr 25th 2023 Reply

Unfortunately, based on the little information provided here, it doesn't sound very promising at all. Your Loan Officer will review all of that information and give you the ultimate answer. Good Luck. I lend for homes in MN, FL, WI, IA, ND, and SD. Find me at SaintPaulMortgageBroker.com | Cambria Mortgage, NMLS 274132

What are you needing the FHA loan for ? refinancing to get a lower rate ? refinancing to pull cash out ? Does your mother have ample income for qualifying ? adding a credit card to a person name is not likely to generate credit scores in the short term .....can you get another person to be co borrower ?
