If my wife has bad credit, can i apply for morgage unmarried/ by sanderspete50 from Hermitage, Tennessee. Oct 22nd 2013
Yes you can apply for the mortgage in just your name, depending on the state that you live in your wife might have to be on title but the loan can be in just your name.give me a call and I would be happy to help you get a pre-approval. 877-580-2006 ext. 103
No one other than yourself needs to be on the loan application. In some community property states, if you are married, the spouse may not be on the loan, but her debts may be included in your qualifying debt ratio.
I see your located here in TN. You can do the loan without your wife being on the loan. Just click on my picture & it will take you to my company information & contacts. I am located in Murfreesboro, TN. Give me a call to discuss. Thanks
If you are married you have to declare that on the application but there is no issue with leaving your wife off the loan. All the qualifications will be based on your income.
You can apply for the mortgage by yourself and leave your wife off the mortgage due to her credit.
She can absolutely help pay the mortgage.
Anyone can help you pay your bills, but neither her income (nor her debts/credit) will be counted in qualifying you for the mortgage.
You can apply for a mortgage- you will list yourself married on the mortgage application- you will have to qualify for the mortgage with just your income anddebts ( DTI) .
You must disclose your correct marital status as married, but you can go on the loan without her. Different States look at information needed from you wife differently, which is why it is important to use a Local Lender - it is best to get recommendations from your REALTOR. Good Luck.
