its complicated, since she was a Russian bride, the VA did not recognize their marriage, and she had to divorce him , for him to get benefits, and he died one yr later..

It's possible, but it depends on your specific circumstances - as outlined above by Nevin. Generally it depends on when and from what causes your spouse passed. I can help: pdumouchel@primelending.com

There are other programs that can be attractive to you that are not VA guaranteed loans. I would love to help. I have 16 years experience in the Mortgage business. By the way, I am originally from your area (currently living in Richmond) and my brother lives in Salem. Small world!

There are more opportunities out there for you. Especially if you are a first time homebuyer. I would love to help you. I have 16 years experience in the Mortgage field. This situation deserves a chat about where you are financially and what your goals are. Let me know if you would like me to call. By the way, my brother lives in Salem and I was raised in your area :) Small world!

It's possible but more info would be need.. there are other loan programs out there including grants, that would enable you to purchase with little to no down payment.. The best advice I can give you is to contact a LOCAL mortgage broker and apply with them. Do not use the local "Big" bank, or one of those 50 states internet lenders or nationwide lenders...By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
