If the veteran is not employed, but the spouse is, can the veteran apply for a va loan? by maosterberg from Waxahachie, Texas. May 24th 2011
Great Question-In order to be applicable for a VA loan the veteran has to be on the loan, but as long as the veteran credit qualifies for the loan- (Minimum credit score of 620) then you can just add the spouse and there income to the equation. Sounds like you may have a deal here. Please let me know if I can be of any service as I have a specialty loan program dedicated to Veterans and other Local Community Heroes- called Homes for Heroes. For more information on this program please refer to www.homesforheroes.com
First and foremost thank you for your service, as a veteran myself I handle quite a bit of VA loans and would welcome the opportunity to earn both your trust and your business, Working for a FDIC insured bank I have the ability to lend in all 50 states so regardless of the location we can help. -John
Yes.? The veteran must always be the primary borrower on the loan, regardless of whether income from the veteran is being used to qualify? The veteran's spouse does not need to be a veteran but does need to occupy the home.? If the veteran has a service-related disability part or all of the VA funding fee may be waived.I hope that this helps!Tom
Can anyone help us? What bank or mortgage company that are not so strict about finances so we can get qualified for a loan. I am a veteran recently separated and my wife is working for 6-7 months now. She was in school for 4 years before she started working and finished her Bachelors and Master's degree. Can we be qualified for a VA Loan? What does VA require for us to get qualified?
