Can ex spouses use VA loan benfits??
My ex wife is wondering if I can help her get a loan through VA. We have been divorced for 1 year and I don't mind. I know children of veterans can't but have a hard time finding out if EX spouse can. Is there a grace period? Officially been divorced ~10.5 months. No.. an ex spouse cannot purchase using your VA benefits.. VA is intended for the veteran and you would have to live there to use this benefit.. No, an ex can not take advantage of the VA benefits. Widows are eligible, but not ex-wives.
