Hello, I am the Director of Communications at CalSTRS. The CalSTRS home loan program was not cancelled, but suspended temporarily while we seek a new loan servicing agent. CalSTRS' partner, Bank of America, has been the program administrator and master servicer for the CalSTRS Home Loan Program, but they recently announced their intention to sell their correspondent lending business, which is the reason CalSTRS must temporarily suspend the program. CalSTRS intends to resume the program as soon as possible after thoroughly exploring the options available in the home mortgage market and locating a new loan servicing agent.
