Terri,The amount you can borrow with 5% down will vary depending upon the location of the property, property type and credit score. Is the property located here in Rochester? I can be reached at (585)389-4110 if you would like to discuss this by phone.Regards,Pat Lavell, NMLS#179233Liberty Home Funding, Inc. NMLS#132997

If you are looking for a true jumbo loan that can be a challenge but as others are saying there are ways to get 95% financing depending on your qualifications and the amount you want to borrow

The short answer is "Yes".. but unless we know the exact details of your loan scenario, it's hard to say.. For example.. if your looking at a home around $600K, then it's possible to do a 80% first, and 15% 2nd.. some lenders allow this.. if your looking to purchase a $3,000,000 home, then you wont find anyone willing to lend you with only 5% down.. also, there's a nationwide lender that will lend 100% up to $1M but only if your a Dr., Lawyer, CPA, or Dentist.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
