Can I qualify as a first time homebuyer in another state if I already own in Oregon?

Hey, I grew up in K Falls. Hope you weren't affected by the fire.A First Time Homebuyer is generally defined as not owning a home within 3 years. Out of curiosity, what is it you are trying to accomplish? Give me a call if you'd like to discuss this. 503-421-0096

As pointed out...definition of a FTHB is non-ownership of a property in the last 3 yrs.

Simple answer is no. If you own a home, any home, anywhere on the planet, you are NOT a first-time homebuyer. Many programs that have a 'first time home buyer' requirement will indicate that if you have NOT owned real estate in the last three years, you will qualify as a first time home buyer for their program. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in Arizona, California, Georgia, Oregon, and Washington.
