More info would be needed.. Everyone's definition of bad credit is different so for this reason, mortgage companies go by credit scores.. without knowing your scores, we cannot advise you properly.. But in general, if you have a proven track record of NOT paying your bills on time, it's highly unlikely you will get approved for a mortgage.. you should start by contacting a local mortgage broker and let him look at your complete loan profile.. once he has all the info, he can advise you properly.. if you cannot buy now, he can tell you which steps would be necessary to put yourself in a position to be able to purchase in the future.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Acceptable credit is needed for mortgage, of any type. You need to talk directly to someone and let them look at your credit.
