Does a lender have the right to call a mortgage due at any time for no reason? I overheard a discussion about the 2008 crash where lenders called loans even if borrowers were not in default or in breach of their loans. Is this even legal? by prosurfer289 from Big Bear City, California. Apr 28th 2022
No, they can't call a loan due just because they feel like it. But, read your loans Promissory Note, and the actual Mortgage document itself (which no one ever does). It is pretty interesting, and there are a lot of things in there you would have never imagined. I lend in MN WI ND SD IA - Find me at JoeMetzler.com - Cambria Mortgage, NMLS 274132
