Can I qualify for any loan program with a 667 credit score? Found a nice house worth 175k, I make roughly 50k a year, and have a car payment. Currently renting. by bethan_197_186 from Nashville, Tennessee. Dec 22nd 2011
The short answer is Yes. With your scores, income and debts that you indicated, you should probably qualify. My best advice is to contact a local Mortgage Banker/Broker, rather than one of the big banks. Unlike a bank employee, who is most likely just an order taker, a Mortgage Broker/Banker is Trained, Tested and Licensed in all aspects of Mortgage Origination. He/She will have access to loan products of many lenders, not just those of one bank, He/She will be able to pre-qualify you for a loan so you can shop with confidence that your loan will close escrow. Make sure you check out the qualification of your selected Originator with the National Mortgage Licensing System at www. NMLSConsumerAccess.org. ~ Bert Carpenter ~ NMLS # 40586
