Absolutely, but using the FHA 203K is not a good choice.. FHA loans are the most expensive loans on the market right now, and have the highest cost of mortgage insurance than any other loan product, especially if you have good credit. The better choice is Fannie Mae's HomeStyle renovation loan.. much easier to do, much quicker, and the mortgage insurance is not necessary if you have 20% or more equity.. if you don't, then the MI is nearly half of what FHA charges, and with conventional, once you obtain 20% equity and you have paid for 2 years, you can request that the MI be removed.. Not the same with FHA.. I'm here local in AZ if you would like a more detailed quote on what your options might be. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. Yes, but there may be better options than FHA 203k for you depending on the details of your application and the home you are purchasing.
