We are planning to apply for a USDA loan again at $137k. Our income is at $157k including bonuses, $130k without. Will this affect my application? Do I need to wait for the bonus to expire before getting the USDA loan? by bonmots55 from Clear Creek, Indiana. Feb 23rd 2022
USDA loans do have an income limit. They set the limits on a county basis. You would need to connect with a USDA lender to verify the limit in the county you are looking in. You should also be able to do a web search (Google, Bing, etc). Bonuses are included and bonuses don't expire. If you received a bonus in each of the last two years, the presumption is that you will receive one this year and they will include it in their calculations, and it could disqualify you.Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Certified Mortgage Advisor and Certified by The National Association of Mortgage Professionals as a Certified Veterans Lending Specialist.Licensed in AZ, CA, GA, IL, MO, OR & WA.
