Do I have to wait 2 years to show consistent employment?

I worked out of the country from 2013 to 2017 then came back home to California and started working in construction from April 2018 to 2022. Last May, I went back to my old career and I have only a few months of salary to show. Do I have to wait 2 years to show steady employment when I apply for a loan? Can I use my previous experience from overseas to get approved? by hamilton545 from Alameda, California. Jun 20th 2022 Reply

I don't see any issues with your situation as long as the current position is hourly or salary. You must document a two-year work history 'in your entire life'. Yes, you can use the previous overseas employment, as long as you can document it. I lend in MN Wi IA SD ND. reach me at FirstTimeHomeBuyer-MN.com - Cambria Mortgage - NMLS 274132
