Do you think that non-Freddie / Fannie mortgages, which were modified could be eligible for HARP 3.0?

Unfortunately, only loans backed by Freddie or Fannie are eligible for a HARP refinance. Also, there is no HARP 3.0 at this time.

No, these are specific programs for Fannie/Freddie loans. These couldn't really happen.... Sorry!

The HARP 3.0 is a speculation for now. Thought maybe someone will know more details. Thanks for your answers anyway. I appreciate it.

As others have said, HARP 3.0 doesnt exist....yet. If it does become reality, it is unlikely that a previously modified loan will qualify since they dont qualify for the exisiting HARP progams now. Unlikely that any extension of HARP will allow for modified loans to qualify.

There is no Harp 3.0 and even if they do have one what will be covered is not determined.

Update: Checked a little bit and here is some info I found. So it is possible that this will be expanded....In theory, HARP 3 would offer assistance for:oAn Alt-A borrower who improved their once-low FICO scores since the date of the mortgage loan originationoSelf-employed homeowners who used stated income loan for their original mortgage but are now able to verify their income via federal tax returnsoPrime borrowers who used a sub-prime mortgage because it was cheaper than a conforming mortgageoWage earners who used a stated income or stated asset mortgage for the sake of convenienceoSub-prime borrowers who have responsibly met their mortgage terms and can verify all income and assetsoJumbo mortgage homeowners who live in high-cost areas; their original mortgages were for $417,000-$625,000.If put into effect, HARP 3 will expand the existing qualification requirements for homeowners, offering refinancing options for non-Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) mortgages and mortgages with a loan balance over $417,000. What does this mean? Everyone who meets all of these requirements will be a candidate for using HARP to refinance. When is HARP 3.0 going to happen? Will there be a HARP 3?It is unknown when HARP 3 will be created (if ever), nor are the exact qualification requirements known. However, based on the previous HARP programs and what Washington D.C. officials have said, millions of additional homeowners stand to benefit from the creation of HARP 3.I am always happy to assist so if you need more information, a pre-qualification, or a competing rate quote you can go to my web page and use my live support button to discuss anything at all with me in an easier format. There is a proposal with congress for expansions to the HARP program. If this HARP 3.0 program gets approved, it would help all those who have not been able to take advantage of the current refinance programs. It's supposed to be an FHA program, and would be open to non Freddie/Fannie loans.. Because FHA has upfront MI and monthly MI, it's hard to say if the premiums would be different for these types of loan, and whether or not there would be any benefit to the borrower, but until the program is approved, it's anyone's guess. for now.. Stay tuned!! I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. Don't hold your breath for HARP 3.0 - seems pretty unlikely right now.

There has been talk... there have been proposals... Nothing has gone forward. Looks to be completely dead.
