Does anyone know any bank who is accepting application for HARP 2.0?

I have my mortgage with Bank Atlantic. I called about HARP 2.0 and they are not offering at this time. I also called Quicken Loans and they advised me that even though HARP 2.0 is unlimited LTV they are keeping the cap of 125%. So the rep tried with a different amount of my house and was asking for an appraisal which I didn't pay since I already know is not under 125%. Does anyone know any bank who is accepting application for HARP 2.0?

Although HARP 2.0 has been signed into law, participating by the big banks is voluntary. Most banks are on board with HARP 1.0, but many have not yet offered the new "unlimited" LTV HARP 2.0.Diamond Funding Corp current has 8 lenders participating in this program. Best advice I can give you is to contact a local mortgage broker, not a bank, and certainly not one of those 50 states, or internet companies... The local broker is familiar with local guidelines and quirks that most out of state lenders won't know about.. and the broker has access to numerous lenders and can find the right one for your particular scenario... There are many that are offering the HARP 2.0. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT work with either your current lender or the big banks or Nationwide Mortgage Companies. These guys telling you to buy an appraisal is clear evidence that they really don't know what you are doing. Contact a local Mortgage Banker/Broker. Unlike a bank employee, who is most likely just an order taker, a Mortgage Broker/Banker is Trained, Tested and Licensed in all aspects of Mortgage Origination. He/She will have access to loan products of many lenders, not just those of one bank, and can properly guide you. But more importantly, He/She is trained to take a look at the various different options available to you and guide you into the one that makes the best sense for your situation. Yes, you can do a HARP loan above 125%. Most lenders will not touch your loan if you are above 125% with out an appraisal waiver from Fannie or Freddie. I have lenders that will still help you with your deal above 125% even though you do not receive the appraisal waiver. The file needs to be run thru the Automated Underwriting System to see the approval. Make sure you hire a HARP experienced broker because most do not have a clue.I only lend in Florida!
