Getting a Mortgage loan with 2 incomes (1 in US and 1 from Puerto Rico)

Hi, My common-law-husband is currently employed in Texas. I live and work in Puerto Rico. We wish to purchase a home in TX using both our incomes. Is it possible to get a loan using both incomes even if one is from TX and the other from Puerto Rico? And if so, what type of loan would be convenient? Since apparently trying for a primary home loan is a problem for some lenders by centenolidsay437 from , . Jan 6th 2021 Reply

As long as one of you occupies the home as your primary residence, it should not be an issue. The fact that your income is from a job in PR, by itself is not an issue. An underwriter would be looking at the type, source and amount of your income the same way regardless of your location. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ At NEXA, we've got you covered.
