Giving a tip for our title closer

Is it customary to "tip" the title closer as suggested by my attorney? If so, how much? We are here in Long Island and the loan we got amounted to $650k. Aren't title closers working as an employee for the title company? Are they not being paid well? I ask because I have no idea about this practice. by xavier184 from Long Island City, New York.
