got a call from you but have not applied for a loan. Why........

Definitely sounds like a scam.. beware!! Typically, these scammers will say something like.. "We are about to wire you these funds, but first, we just need to verify your information.. What's your date of birth? Social Security number? address?, ETC... " Do Not Give Them Any Personal Information!.. If you did not apply for a loan, then you hang up..
