Got lending disclosure packet with zip code wrong

Hi everyone, I recently got the truth in the lending disclosure packet from my lender, while I was inspecting it I noticed that the zip code of the house was incorrect. I told my lender that it was wrong this morning and he told me that the bank will fix the issue. My question is, should the lender be the one fixing it, or is the bank the one that fixes it before closing? by campware752 from Chandler, Arizona. Aug 4th 2022 Reply

Believe it or not, these kinds of mistakes happen often. Your loan Originator may be employed by a Mortgage Broker, A Mortgage Banke, a Commercial Bank, or even a Credit Union. Your loan originator, once notified will, depending on the organization work with the appropriate unit responsible for preparing the loan file to make the correction. At the early stage of the process, these kinds of mistakes are easy to get corrected. I recommend you let the Originator do their job and get it corrected. I happen to work as an originator for a Mortgage Broker. If this happens with one of my files, Once the error is discovered we can make the change to the loan file with the lender that will be funding the loan. ~Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Certified Mortgage Advisor and Certified by The National Association of Mortgage Professionals as a Certified Veterans Lending Specialist.NEXA is licensed in all states except MA and NY so give us a call. ~ www.LoansA2z.com 480-889-9000 - OR - 480-695-9300.
