Has HARP 3.0 been cancelled?

I haven't heard any news about it recently, and to my knowledge, the president didn't mention it during the inauguration. I can't qualify for the current HARP 2.0 because my mortgage isn't owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac by EHunte from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jan 23rd 2013 Reply

Just like every promise this President has made, it's unlikely to happen... We know for certain that rates will be going up this year.. and if he was going to administer HARP 3.0, it should have been relased by now, so borrowers could take advantage of these rates before they go up.. He didnt talk about it because it's probably never going to happen.. just like a balanced budget, reduced deficite, lower taxes, lower unemployment, etc.. all these lies.. but he did mention HOPE!.. as in.... I "Hope" the next 4 years fly by so we can get someone in office who knows what the're doing and can fix our America!!... sorry.. did I really post this!!

You can't cancel what never existed. The RUMOR was that there would be an attempt to create a program that in many ways mirrored HARP 2.0. The RUMOR went on to include all non FHA and non-Fannie/Freddie loans. Not everything is the President's fault, and some individuals fail to understand that CONGRESS introduces legislation, and if the party in power likes it, it gets approved. Then it goes to the Senate for ratification and ONLY THEN will it go to the President for a signature to become law. No legislation was passed by Congress that would allow for the concept of what was dubbed "HARP 3", consequently it did not come into existence. Hopefully I'm wrong, but at this stage of the recovery, I personally do not expect to see any more hand outs to help those beat up by the housing crises. There are too many people in Congress that don't believe in helping regular Americans. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in California and Arizona ~ www.LoansA2z.com 888-889-9950

Hasn't been put forward or completed to be put forward, whether it's cancelled or not is yet to be seen.

It's just been put on hold because of the Fiscal Cliff and Gun Laws. Hopefully they will begin pushing on it again.

The fate of HARP 3.0 is yet to be decided. I know all of us in the lending industry are anxious to see if it does come out becasue we can now lend a helping hand to many who did not qualify for HARP 2.0. I know there are a lot of people still needing some payment relief and HARP 3.0 would be a huge help.
