HELOC versus home equity loan?

Not sure what the diffrence is between heloc and home equity loan. i know heloc means home equity line of credit but is there a better option for someone lookig to borrow against equity for wedding funds and with 753 credit score? by chaucergal79463795 from New Haven, New York. Home equity loan is more for someone who needs to borrow an amount to be used right away. Heloc is more of a "credit card" attached to your home that can be used as to your needs.
