VA requires 2 years waiting period for CH7, 1 year of on time payments with CH13. FHA requires 2 years for CH7, 1 year of on time payments with CH13. Conventional requires 4 years for CH7, or 2 years on time payments with CH13... if there was a home involved in the BK, and the lender took the home back, either by foreclosure, deed in lieu, or a 2nd mortgage was charged off in the BK, then the waiting period will be a minimum of 3 years from the date the home was taken out of your name.. if the home is still in your name, then the waiting period has not begun...
