Home Tax Credit Questions...I am confused
So It is my understanding that the federal home tax credit extension has been approved....which will grant about 8,000? I live in California which I guess has its own california homebuyer tax credit, this one is for up to 10,000. Do I only apply for one? or both?Also are there other states that have these types of programs? by frank2392 from Santa Barbara, California. Jul 13th 2010

You are only eligible for the California credit now. But, to answer your question, it was possible to collect both in California had you been in contract prior to April 30, 2010.
