Too much info missing Bob.. typically, if you did a loan modification using HAMP, and there was principal reduction involved, then it's going to be tough.. most lenders wont touch this until 3 years passed since the loan modification.. if there was no principal reduction and your loan qualifies for HARP, meaning it was originally issued prior to June 2009, and it's owned by Freddie or Fannie, then you might qualify for a HARP refinance.. but without knowing all the details of your particular scenario, it's hard to say.. the best advice I can give you is to contact a local mortgage broker, (Like myself) and get them the specifics regarding your modification... only then will you truly know.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

In some cases the modification can happen 18-24 months after the loan modification has been completed. Also you can check your paperwork in the pages that describe details about terminating your agreement for the loan modification. The lender who helped you obtain the loan modification should also be able to advise you in regards to this question.

Hi Bob, I have ran into this problem time and time again. Same answer from all lenders... 3 years from the date of the completion of the modification.
