How soon does your credit score improve after clearing up past dues?

I am currently cleaning up my credit and was wondering how long will it be after all of the collection(s) account is paid in full or part thereof will my score increase. Right now i am in the higher/mid 580's in score and the lowest is a 550. I am preparing to get a pre-approval for a home loan. The loan officer I have spoke to says to get my score to the mid 600's to get approved for the loan. Any suggestions? by lgentle from , . Jul 20th 2011 Reply

The first thing is that you need to know if you are paying off collections that your score will drop- if you are disputing them and get them removed then the credit score will eventually increase. Mike Convin(another 411 lender) and I have a group of private investors that can finance your new home with out conern of credit- let me know if you would like more information on our programs!
