NOW. Because there is always a chance that items will show on your credit report that may hurt you, or there are things you can do to improve your score to get better pricing, now is the right time to start. I can't tell you how many times I have worked with a borrower that waited until the end to start only to find out that there was not enough time to fix things or improve their score, resulting in them not getting as good of a deal as they could have. I'm licensed in OR and would be happy to help you set yourself up for the best possible pricing. My usual answer is immediately. Even if you feel your situation is "perfect", and you are easily able to get a loan, you never know 100% until a lender reviews your application. Depending on your situation, you may indeed be just fine. But you also may have credit issues you didn't know about, you could learn tips to improve your rate (like higher credit scores), and a bunch of other things. It doesn't hurt, and may help. Apply TODAY. I lend in MN WI IA SD ND for not just VA loans, but all mortgage loans. Find me at VAMortgageMN.com - Cambria Mortgage, NMLS 274132
