My sister asked me to co-sign to help her buy a house. I know I got to show my bank statements. The thing is that I share my account with my fiance. Is this a problem? by firstpr454 from Houston, Mississippi. Oct 24th 2019
On traditional loans, bank statements are only needed to basically prove cash to close (the down payment money), it isn't used for income. If all the money to buy the house is coming from your sister, we don't need your bank statements. I lend in MN, WI, and SD, and can be found at JoeMetzler.com - NMLS274132
you likely will not need to provide your bank statements to your sisters lender ( unless she plans on using your assets for part of the down payment or for payment reserves )
