More info needed, but in general.. the term "Bad Credit" is vague.. this is why credit agencies use credit scores.. If you have 20 open and paid accounts, but one bad old cell phone bill, you should have a decent credit score... but if you only have 4 accounts, and every one is bad, then no one will lend to you.. Also understand that over time, bad accounts do drop off your credit.. so when you say "Old Accounts".. my question is,,, how old? 3 years, or 10 years? The older the account, the less impact it has on your scores.. and beyond a certain period of time (7 or more years).. the "Old" accounts could drop off your report altogether.. For all these reasons, you should get off the internet,,, pick up the phone,,, and call a local mortgage banker/broker.. stay away from the big banks.. they have very limited options and they never take the time to help someone who might have a few credit issues.. By dealing with a local banker/broker, you will have countless options and a professional who can advise you on what steps would be necessary to get you in a position to buy a home.. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893
