Was there Real Estate involved in the Bankruptcy?
It depends on which type of bankruptcy 7 or 13. For a bankruptcy chapter 13, one has to obtain permission from the trustee in order to be able to purchase a home.
Hi Weazelman237,Possibly. As long as you did not include a mortgage in the BK & you have re-established your credit, you should be eligible for an FHA loan.If you have VA entitlement available, it wouldn't matter if you included a mortgage in the BK.| John Burke | Senior Mortgage Banker | Lending in ALL 50 states |Great Plains Bank | jburke@gpbankTX.net | (877)228-9069 | NMLS# 787231 |
Yes. You are within one month of completing the FHA 'Penalty period', SoI would connect with your local, Licensed Mortgage Originator ASAP. By the time you apply, find a house and get it under contract, you'll be eligible. By the way, congratulations on working to get your Credit scores back up.
