I live in San Diego; how can I get a mortgage for a property in Mexico, puerto vallarta?

I don't know of any lenders here in the US that will lend to properties in Mexico.. I'm not saying they don't exist.. I just don't know of any. Best way to find out is to contact some of the other owners in the subdivision you are looking to buy in, and find out who they got their financing from.. You can also contact a Mexican Real Estate Agent and ask them about financing options.. they should know for sure. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets.
