DTI is considered in the HARP program... Per the guidelines it wasn't supposed to be a heavy factor, however since the program has opened last month on the 17th, we are seeing that it is a heavy factor in getting approved... WilliamAcres.com

Yes, DTI is a Factor with HARP 2.0. You need to provide your income documents along with your full application to allow a mortgage professional to run the approval for you.I only lend in Florida!
HARP 2.0 does have a debt-to-income requirement. I am seeing approvals ups to 55% DTI. Although the guidelines and documentation are more lenient, I will need a full application to run the approval against Fannie Mae's automated approval system. Opes Advisors is located in Eugene, and is a direct lender/bank to Fannie Mae with local underwriting and document preparation in my building. A verifiable source of income, sufficient to support your debt load is required under HARP. This means that your DTI must fall within the normally acceptable range. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com
