Technically the payment is due on the first of the month and late on the 2nd.. however, most lenders will not charge you a late fee if the payment is received by the 15th of the month (grace period).. When it comes to credit reporting, there are laws that mandate what and how your payment history is to be reported.. credit reports only show late payments that are 30 days or more late... so to answer your question, it's late from the 2nd beyond, but only reported on the credit report if it's 30 or more days late.. You will have a late charge, not a reportable 30-day late. You could have a slight decline in your score, depending on how the each credit bureau's internal matrix reads it.

Yes the payment would be "Late". However it will not effect credit reporting until it is more than 30 days late. Effectively your payment will be reported late if it is not made and posted before the first day of the next month.

You will have a late fee after 15 days, but your credit will not be affected until after 30 days. After 30 it will show a 30 day late and your score will drop. Someone pulling your credit while you are late, may see that you are past due and make a judgement on what they see.

Like the others..it wont hurt your credit score until you are officially into the next month without a payment being received, unless you have worked out an agreement with your lender.Take careKyle stancatoBayview home loans

The only think I'd add is to make sure the lender receives and processes/registers your payment before the 30th. Also, be careful of taking advantage of the ability to pay between the 15th and 30th without it technically being late. Sometimes that is reviewed and if your application were "marginal" some underwriters would think you are not good at managing your finances because you are consistently incurring a "late" penalty which will show on some documentation that may be reviewed.

The mortgage payment is due on the 1st of the month. You may have to pay a late fee if you wait until the 20th to pay depending on your lender, but your credit score will not be affected until it becomes more than 30 days late.

As long as it is paid within the month due, it is not reported late TO THE CREDIT BUREAU. 15-days after it is due, you will pay a penalty for a late payment

You should be fine if you pay on the 20th. You will have to pay a late fee, but as long as your payment is received and recorded before 30 the days are up or 28 days in Feb :) you will be good to go.
