Yes.. FHA has a 3 year mandatory waiting period from the day the property was taken out of your name.. but FHA has limited loan amounts, and regardless of your down payment, you will need to pay monthly mortgage insurance. For conventional financing, you need to wait 7 years.. and for VA (assuming you have VA eligibility) the waiting period is 2 years, but most will make you wait 3.. USDA is also 3 years, but they require a minimum of 620 credit score. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets.
