Bank of America is required to provide the information you are requesting regardless of whether you have an attorney. If the lower levfel employee isn't helping you, demand to talk to a supervisor and threaten to get your congressperson involved if they won't help you. Don't take no for an answer.Secondly, call your state's BAR association and file a complaint against your lawyer explaining his/her failure to keep you apprised of the matter and failure to return your calls.Best of Luck!

Kimberly,I am with a Mortgage Attorney firm - depending on the state you are in it may be possible to save your home after the foreclosure. Since the old loan is closed with BOA, you have to qualify with another lender to pay the balance in full if you want to save the home. Another option is have someone make an offer the BOA to purchase the property, and you rent from them. If the sheriff sale hasn't happened yet, you could file a temporary chapter 7, which will pause BOA from closing the loan. Suggest using a mortgage law firm to help you, additionally what you paid the other firm, because you paid for a service and they didn't delivery, there are ways to get your money back.. Contact me if you need help.
