HARP, from a realistic standpoint is a very normal loan in all aspects - EXCEPT, the loan program allows lenders to disregard standard loan-to-value guidelines.

Employment is not required, however income is.. if your retired, have residual income such as an annuity or you make regular withdrawals from a retirement account or have sufficient rental income, etc... Then any of these types of income can be considered... Under the HARP 2.0, you have to show you have sufficient income to service your debt... WilliamAcres.com
