In order to be the offer selected by the seller, I agreed to use him for my loan being that he is a mortgage broker. Later I learned that his ex-wife is actually the only owner of the home. While my income is sufficient, the fact that I cosigned on some of my kids; loans, my DTI was alittle off. Now it's been over 60 days since the purchase agreement has been signed, my broker is charging me a lot of points that I never agreed to, the ex wife has refused to sign any addendums to continue to process but said she would sign at the closing table, and every few days there are more documents required, conditions, and I wonder if we will ever make it to the closing table. I really want the house, but I don't know if I can trust he has my best interest in mind or is he just lining his pocket in conjunction with the lender he chose? Since we don't have this in writing, can I choose a different lender? I have done some prequalifying with them and my DTI is now 47%, but if I pull the loan now, my broker (seller) says he will pull the deal? Help! by robinlarms1134 from Spotswood, New Jersey.
