Hi guys, I wanted to ask if the pre-approval state is specific. The place I’ll be looking for a home in is like 10 miles from 3 other states. After getting pre-approved, do I have to commit to 1 state or will it work for multiple states? by jirehpauline990 from Chandler, Arizona. Oct 11th 2022
No not really ...but make sure that you are working with a lender / loan officer thats licensed in all 3 states ( if possible )
Generally it's ok for any state, assuming you are getting a pretty standard loan. Some down payment assistance type programs will be state specific, and of course your lender may not be able to offer a loan in every state. I Lend in MN WI ND SD.
