is there a difference between reverse mortgage and an hecm?

im curious about reverse mortgages but hecm keeps coming up. is this a specific program? i'd like to know whats best for 72 yr old. my home has been paid off for 8 yrs and my daughter is supplying half my income. i would like to use equity instead by lorengerry89379527 from Algonac, Michigan.
