The attorney that made the will for my father were after the cash and BIG MONEY.. And property and home assets that were aquired from a wrongful death award from my sibling. Almost 4 million. The attorneys wanted the big things and did all of it in secret. So they are not going to EVER attempt to get that land AND I RECIEVE THE YEARLY CHECK OF FARMING proceeds. I am the only heir except the will put the estate n a trust for my child.who is ten and these men ,one was the attorneywere named executor and their wives as trustees also one was a witness. After they recieved the money and got the hpuse for themselves the attorney and wife, who witnessed, removed themselves because of possible conflict of inyerest because he was dads attorney to partition community property....the VERY NEXT DAY OF $ 500,000 judgment made. Much more info needed to advise you, but based on the limited info you did provide, it sounds like you need a new attorney.. not mortgage advise. First, borrowing against land is different than borrowing on property that's already been improved (real property).. For land loans, it's possible you can find someone who will do it. .but expect the terms to be a bit high.. as far as borrowing against stock.. I guess there might be someone out there that will do it, so it's possible.. but not advisable.. However, if you are talking about "Real Property"... then you just need to contact a good mortgage company and apply.. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets.
