If you have a judgment against you, you have to disclose it, and it's a deal killer.... the only way around it is to pay the judgment, settle the judgment, or file BK and include the judgment.. if you file BK, you would have to wait 2 years after the discharge date to apply... if you pay it or settle it you can apply right away..... As Dave told you in the otherthread, you will be committing fraud on the loan application if you dont disclose the judgement. If you lie on the application and the Loan Officer doesnt know that you lied, there is a POSSIBILITY the oloan will go thru. However, what was not mentioned previously is thatpart of the title search involves a Judgement Search on all borrowers and the judgement against you will likely appear in that search. You will have to pay it off or settle it and get a release before you can get approved.
