My wife and I have a contract on a 4 unit multifamily property in Maryland for $400k. We agreed to put down 25% or $100k and most of the cash we will use will come from accounts in my name. I don’t want my name to appear on the loan as a borrower since I already have 3 mortgages currently. My wife qualifies but the problem is I can’t give her the money for closing since I can’t gift the money to her according to my lender. She has a HELOC in her name but she can’t use the account since the funds can’t be borrowed. Any suggestions? by jmorris135 from Annapolis, Maryland. Dec 7th 2021
