Moving from QL to the U.S.

Hi everyone, I am moving from Goldcoast, Queensland to Michigan by next year. I have a working contract with my company that will last for 3 years. I need a car, credit cards and rent an apartment. My concern is not being able to get the things I need due to FICO checks. My salary is quite high and I have decent credit in Australia. I own my home and will be renting it out while I am in the States. Does anyone know how long it will take to build a decent credit score? by jshearer35 from Jackson, South Carolina.
