He lives in Singapore and wants to buy a house here. He isn't an American citizen. Any ideas? by ronWpope from Austin, Texas. Jul 16th 2013
If he is trying to buy in Texas, you will need to talk with some local, licensed mortgage professionals, to find one who can do this kind of program, theyare available. From what I know, they usually will require a 30% down payment, and are generally available only on single-family homes, condos and townhouses.Good luck.
Find a lender that is licensed in the state he wants to purchase a home in and move forward from there - they will be able to determine if he qualifies and for what loan amount. Good luck!
It can be done is almost every state. Have him check with local mortgage brokers and banks in the area in which he would like to purchase a home.
He will need to contact a a local mortgage broker to go over his options and see what he qualifies for. They will need to have his income and assets translated to English if they are in a different language along with some other guidelines required for a non citizen purchase. The down payment requirement will most likely be much higher as well.Call us or email us at 201-962-3555 or Team@BestMortgageOption.com for ano cost no obligation analysis of your situation ask for Michelle or Benny. Hi Ron, It is possible. However, there is more information that is needed. He will need to contact a local broker in the state he wishes to purchase in. If that state is California please contact me.
