homes that are upside down. I have a conventional mortgage with Carrington Mortgage @6.5 fixed for 30yrs. I really need to lower the payment and %age. Thanks. by lispfi_648_923 from Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Feb 11th 2013
Currently there is nothing available right now, but HARP 3.0, if it ever develops, might be the way to go... If you have a conventional loan now, you could refinance using FHA, but you can only finance 97.75%, and VA you can go 100% of appraised value... if you have sufficient reserves, you could pay down the mortgage and refinance then.. if you don't have the cash, then you're at the mercy of any future programs (HARP 3.0). I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
We are all hoping for a HARP 3.0. Stay tuned!
HARP 3 may be your solution, if it becomes a reality.
Did you try and get your loan modified? Don't get behind on your payments, but contact you lender and apply with them.
Not currently but there is hope for a new option - call your congressman and senator and tell them you need it. Otherwise there are no options other than refinance (only up to 97% Loan To Value) or asking your mortgage company to consider a modification lowering the rate.
There is nothing that comes to mind at the moment... Legislation was introduced last week for a possible HARP 3 program. The biggest element of HARP 3 would be that any loan would apply, not just Fannie or Freddie. www.HARP3-refinance.com
