Each state is different and the best source would be a local estate attorney. They would be happy to help you. Is your husband having a legal battle with his brother who he signed his interest in the property over to? If your question is concerning that are you entitled to any of your husbands inheritance than I would say no. If he received cash and then used that cash to purchase a home, car or other item of value than you may have an argument that it is now marital property. Consult a local attorney for exact details.
