Honestly, I've never heard of a hardship permit outside of something to do with driving privileges. Is this something specific to your area? Does it put a cloud on your home's title as a result? If it is affecting your title report, then you need to find out exactly why it's a problem and try to address it from there. A good, local loan officer probably knows a good title person who can offer some suggestions of how to remedy the problem. I'm having a hard time understanding why it would be a problem unless the mobile home is affixed to the property, or viewed as some sort of a hazard. Is the mobile home taxed as real estate, or more like a car through it's VIN? I'm curious to know more about this.
