A few years ago, my wife and I decided to move from FL to MA. We bought a foreclosed home in cash since it was a good deal at that time. We used the money from the house we sold in FL plus the money my wife and brother in law had from the sale of an apartment unit they inherited. Since I was out of the country at that time, the deed on the foreclosed home only has my wife and brother-in laws name on it as owners. My brother in law is getting married and he wants to cash out his portion of the home which is around $150k. We plan to get a mortgage on the home to pay off what we owe and also remove my brother in law from the deed and add my name as owner. Any advice? by eabrown840 from Hudson, Massachusetts.
